💡 Theory
Before the practical sessions, you will study the fundamentals of emergency management and diving safety. This theoretical preparation is essential to understanding the basics of rescue at sea.
🤿 Practice
During the course, you will perform several rescue exercises and simulations:
- Surface and depth rescue – Techniques for assisting a diver in distress.
- Managing panic situations – How to approach panicked divers and ensure their safety.
- Assistance to unconscious divers – Techniques for ascent and oxygen administration if necessary.
These exercises take place in real-life conditions, preparing you for the challenges of the underwater world of the Costa Brava.
EFR + Rescue Diver Package: Diving Safety, From Start to Finish
If you don’t have first aid training yet, take advantage of our EFR + Rescue Diver Package.
The Emergency First Response (EFR) module teaches you the basics of first aid (CPR, wound management, and other medical emergencies).
1 day of EFR training + 2-3 days of Rescue Diver
With this training, you will not only obtain the Rescue Diver certification, but also master the fundamentals of diving and surface safety, an essential skill for any sea activity.
Duration of the EFR + Rescue Diver Package
The EFR + Rescue Diver package takes place over 3 to 4 consecutive days, combining first aid training and underwater rescue techniques, or it can be arranged over several weekends depending on your availability.
Conditions and Requirements
- Prior Certification: PADI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent)
- Minimum Age: 12 years (with Junior Rescue Diver certification for 12-14 year olds)
- Medical Certificate: recent, within the last 2 years
- Diving Insurance: required (we can help you purchase one if you don’t have it)
What is included in the EFR and Rescue Diver package?
- Access to educational materials for first aid and rescue techniques training
- Certified instructors PADI with extensive experience in rescue and first aid
- Official certifications from EFR and PADI Rescue Diver, globally recognized
What is not included in the EFR and Rescue Diver pack?
- Diving insurance (mandatory, but we can provide it if needed)
- Diving equipment (available for rent at our center if you don’t have your own)
What do you need to bring to the Discover Scuba Diving course?
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Flip-flops or sandals
